Alexis Seah

Saxophonist Alexis Seah Hee Cheng (b. 1994, Singapore) is an avid performer in Singapore. She graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) with Diploma in Music (2014) and Bachelors of Music in collaboration with Royal College of Music (2016). Alexis studied under the tutelage of Leslie Wong, one of Singapore’s most prolific saxophonists.

As an active musician, Alexis had performed with numeral ensembles in Singapore such as the NAFA Saxophone Quartet and Detect, NAFA Wind Ensemble, NAFA Orchestra, Orchestra Collective, Windstars Ensemble, West Winds, and The Philharmonic Orchestra. Alexis has also performed solos regularly at the Singapore Saxophone Symposium every year held in NAFA and appeared as a guest soloist with Orchestra Collective at the Esplanade Concert Hall (2014).

The highlights of her musical journey started with the NAFA Saxophone Quartet, under the guidance of Dr. Zechariah Goh, with their debut overseas performance in Taiwan as part of the Taiwan International Wind Band Festival (2014). Subsequently, the quartet did outreach programme with Prince of Wales Island International School and University of Sains in Penang (2014), Saxophone Exchange and Concert at Mahidol University of Thailand (2015), and held their own recital in the World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg France (2015).

Alexis has attended numerous music festivals as both participant and performer such as Singapore Saxophone Symposium, Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy, World Saxophone Congress, etc.
