Yi Xiang Ang

Ang Yi Xiang is the Associate Principle Saxophone of the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band (SAF Central Band). In 2011, he was awarded the Licentiate of the Trinity College London in Saxophone Performance.

His love for music and proficiency on the Saxophone has brought him to several places round the world. Yi Xiang was part of the Southeast Asian Youth Wind Ensemble (SAYOWE) in Thailand, and also travelled various cities in Asia with the prestigious Asian Youth Orchestra, performing the famous saxophone solo in Ravel’s Bolero.

An active member of The Philharmonic Winds since 2005, Yi Xiang has also appeared as a soloist with various bands. In addition to his duties with the SAF Central Band, he also teaches Saxophone in various schools.
